New Confetti Cotton Solids + new Flannel Solid colors + Kona Nocturne

Welcome to the 32nd edition of the Sewfinity newsletter, written by me, Angela Bowman.

Hi from Angela

Meridian Idaho, Sunday December 15, 2024

Good afternoon!

Our big news for you this month: we have an entire new quilting cotton solid line: Confetti Cotton Solids by Riley Blake Designs. They are beautiful, and the price-point is reasonable, which is so nice. We just barely got them on our shelves and we already have a slew of customer orders. People must love this fabric line! We are very excited to offer it for you, and just like all the other solids, we are committed to carrying every single color. This addition means that we now have 5 complete collections of quilting cotton solids. Five! How many colors does that represent? I just now checked, and it's 948!

Other new stuff, below: 3-yard packs of 108" fabric, Kona Cotton's 2025 color of the year, and some new Flannel Solid colors. As I was adding all this fabric to our website, I decided to spiff up our front page a bit. Go take a look!

Enjoy your holidays!

NEW: Confetti Cotton Solids

This is Riley Blake Designs current line of 186 colors of Confetti Cotton Solids, with 114 more to arrive in February. That will bring the total collection up to 300 colors, and we will have them all.

The colors are beautiful and the hand is wonderful.

VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!

5 new colors of Flannel Solids

Robert Kaufman Fabrics just released 5 new colors of Flannel Solids: Coral, Hyacinth, Cornflower, Periwinkle, and Fresh Dew. That brings the entire collection to over 50 colors, and we have them all. This flannel is niiiiiiice, not like the flimsy stuff in the big box stores.

An interesting tidbit: one of Ken Kaufman's favorite sounds is the thud of one folded flannel dropped on another :)

Kona Cotton - Nocturne

We've got it: NOCTURNE! This is Kona Cotton's Color of the Year for 2025 and it is stunning! It's a rich shade of violet on the CMY color wheel.

We assign a color value to every single solid we offer (0 lightest to 10 darkest), and Nocturne is a rare V7 💜

3-yard packs of 108" Wide

We now offer 108" wide fabric in 3-yard packs! This grab-and-go option is great for quilt backs up to a queen size quilt. And any extra makes an easy hanging sleeve plus some nice-sized remnants!

We used to offer this extra wide fabric by the yard, but the bolts take up an incredible amount of space on our shelves, so the new 3-yd packs allow us to optimize our warehouse storage.

Every month (or so) Angela writes a letter about her thoughts, behind-the-scenes stuff at Sewfinity, and things worth knowing in the world of sewing. It's like getting a nice letter in the mail. Not too spammy. And not too often.

Welcome to the 31st edition of the Sewfinity newsletter, written by me, Angela Bowman. Hi from Angela Meridian Idaho, Sunday October 27, 2024 Good afternoon! Are you enjoying fall? I sure am. I'm sitting on my back patio as I write this, enjoying the sights and sounds of autumn in Idaho: bright blue sky, golden sunshine, puffy white clouds, orange and red and yellow and green leaves everywhere. The breeze is perfection, making the trees sway. Their leaves sound like gentle ocean waves. The...

Welcome to the 30th edition of the Sewfinity newsletter, written by me, Angela Bowman. Hi from Angela Meridian Idaho, Sunday September 22, 2024 Good morning! I have been sewing so much the past few weeks! It is absolutely true that sewing increases our happiness, because I'm sure feeling the euphoria. I've sewn a bunch of zipper pouches, playing around with some pattern ideas I've had in my head for a long while. I'm planning to publish them as sewing patterns at some point, but in the...
