Top Sellers of 2023 + Kit Restock + Best Buds Color Ideas

Welcome to the 25th edition of the Sewfinity newsletter, written by me, Angela Bowman.

Hi from Angela

Meridian Idaho, Sunday January 28, 2024

Good afternoon!

Every January I look at Sewfinity's numbers for the previous year. I see what worked, what didn't, and how to use that data going forward. So what worked in 2023? Well, Kona Cotton, that's for sure. Kona was our biggest-selling fabric line, no doubt because of the range of colors and reasonable price point. The top selling colors? Black, Charcoal, Snow, White, and Natural. All neutrals, and all indispensable.

Essex Yarn Dyed linen by Robert Kaufman is well-loved, too, with the top colors being Seafoam, Flax, Lingerie, Indigo, and Charcoal.

The top selling kit was the Mini Plaidish quilt kit in Rainbow Kona Cotton. No surprise there - the colors are fantastic. (see below)

I also looked at you, our customers. Most of you live in the United States, and the top-selling customer states are Idaho, California, Georgia, Washington, Kentucky, Florida, and Texas. What else did our customer data show? That we have customers in every single state in the U.S.! I LOVE that we ship fabric from Meridian Idaho all across our country 😃

Thank you so much for your business in 2023, and we hope to help you even more in 2024!

Kit Restock - Mini Plaidish Quilt in Rainbow

Since so many of you loved this kit in 2023, I thought I'd make it available again. This is a digital rendering, but the actual quilt turns out just as vibrant, thanks to the colorful fabrics in the kit.

My friend Shelly made one and brought it to our quilt guild yesterday for show & tell, and everyone gasped! 😃

Best Buds Quilt - Color Ideas

Lindsey of Pen and Paper Patterns just released a new quilt called Best Buds, and we have it at Sewfinity for you. We prepared some color ideas for you, too!

Any Swifties wanna make one in Chief's colors? ❤️🖤

QuiltCon 2024

QuiltCon is comin' up, and we are proud to be a Shop Sponsor! We won't be at QuiltCon in-person this year, but we're giving attendees a digital high-five of creative encouragement from Meridian Idaho! ✋️

Going and taking a workshop? Get your class supplies at Sewfinity.com - you have hundreds of solids to choose from. Your fabric will be labeled and shipped to you superfast - that's how we roll.

Not going, but curious what QuiltCon is about? Take a look at QuiltCon.com. Something new this year: a streaming lecture pass!

Every month (or so) Angela writes a letter about her thoughts, behind-the-scenes stuff at Sewfinity, and things worth knowing in the world of sewing. It's like getting a nice letter in the mail. Not too spammy. And not too often.

I'm sitting on my back patio as I write this, enjoying the sights and sounds of autumn in Idaho: bright blue sky, golden sunshine, puffy white clouds, orange and red and yellow and green leaves everywhere. Welcome to the 30th edition of the Sewfinity newsletter, written by me, Angela Bowman. Hi from Angela Meridian Idaho, Sunday September 22, 2024 Good morning! I have been sewing so much the past few weeks! It is absolutely true that sewing increases our happiness, because I'm sure feeling the euphoria.
