Hi from Angela
Meridian Idaho, Sunday February 8, 2026
Good morning, sunshine!
I have 3 things to share with you: we have a new team member, new fabric, and some updates to Sewfinity Colorway (thanks for the "clear palette" suggestion, Zach!)
First up, team member news. We at Sewfinity are so excited to welcome Darla Christiansen as a blog writer! Darla is my sewing friend, and I had no idea what she did in her professional life until she started writing emails for our quilt guild. I could tell she was a gifted communicator, and sure enough, that’s her background.
I love her writing style - it’s so inline with what we want to convey at Sewfinity: friendly, encouraging, inspiring, inclusive, and fun. I've shared her first 2 articles below, and wow oh wow I feel ridiculous I didn't bring Darla on sooner. Go read her witty words.
In fabric news, we've got the 18 new colors of Bella Solids - they are gorgeous.
And lastly, we made 4 updates to Sewfinity Colorway. My favorite is the running total display, making it easier to stay within your budget while building your perfect palette. Read on to get the details.

The 3 Best Books About Quilting
Our new blog writer Darla asked me what our audience wants to read and what they are asking about. I told her that I get emails from people who just plain ol' want to learn about quilting! They have no idea how to start, and so an article for me to share with them would be so helpful.
And so here we are, Darla's first article. Her quips are helpful to both beginners and seasoned quilters - go read it and share with your quilting people - we'd love it.
P.S. Darla's favorite book is the Modern Quilt Bible and mine is The Quilting Book 😁

Valentine-Inspired Sewing and Stitching
Treat yourself to one of these cute Valentine-inspired projects to sew and stitch for you or someone you love! Choose from charming bags and bins, cross stitch kits that you’ll want to display all year long, and a sweet lineup of quilt patterns.
Wouldn't one of those quilt blocks make a cute throw pillow? Check out our free tutorial on how to make a pillow cover.
And don't miss what Darla wrote about the Modern Botanical Wedding Sampler cross stitch 😆

COLORWAY Updates
It is so rewarding to see you all build fabric bundles with our tool Sewfinity Colorway. I mean look at this bundle a customer put together! Can you imagine how long this would take to add to your card the "old-fashioned" way, page-by-page or search-by-search?
We are getting such positive feedback on how fast it is to shop and how helpful it is to visualize your fabrics together.
We recently released 4 new Colorway updates: in the Buy Panel we added a running total display, improved FQ input, and added a numeric keyboard for entering quantities on your mobile device. And on the Palette Board we added a "Clear palette" confirmation, helping prevent frustration from accidental clicks.
Enjoy!

Every month (or so) Angela writes a letter about her thoughts, behind-the-scenes stuff at Sewfinity, and things worth knowing in the world of sewing. It's like getting a nice letter in the mail. Not too spammy. And not too often.
