Hi from Angela
Meridian Idaho, Sunday August 31, 2025
Good afternoon!
August has been incredibly busy here at Sewfinity - we had our best sales month ever. After I ran the numbers yesterday, I got emotional. It's just so rewarding to see hard work result in success. Thank you so much for letting us serve you!
It's also been busy and emotional at home - we got our daughter settled into her first year of college. It almost feels silly to be sad about her moving away from home, because this is exactly what we want her to be doing, what she should be doing to start her career path, and she is so excited. We miss her so much already, but we're putting on our best parent brave faces. Also, go VANDALS!
In shop news, I have some new giftable toolkits for you, some new quilt kits for a ridiculously gorgeous pattern, a new striking and challenging pattern by the award-winning Audrey of Cotton and Bourbon, and some ginormous 108" fabric squares. Check them out!

Toolkit for Basic Sewing
We put together another indispensable, high-quality little sewing toolkit for you. This one is for basic sewing. There are 3 versions based on the thimble size: small, medium, and large.
We love these Tulip needles, the quilty scissors and tape are adorable, the Clover leather thimble is a customer fave, and you get 3 different kinds of high-quality 50wt thread: Aurifil, MasterPiece, and So Fine ๐ชกโ
Perfect for quilt binding. Sew giftable, too! โ

Toolkit for Hand Quilting
Many of you shared your favorite hand quilters and resources after my call in last month's letter, and I've been reading through them to discover the best techniques and supplies. I'll publish a blog post about it, hopefully soon.
In the meantime, here's the toolkit I've come up with: a true luxury set that includes the essentials plus hand-picked specialized supplies recommended by expert handquilters, mainly Elsie Campbell and Roxanne McElroy.
There are too many things included to list them all out here, so go take a look at the listing. There are 2 versions based on the thimble sizes: small/medium and medium/large.
It's a pretty spectacular and meticulously curated kit, tailor-made to jump into fine hand quilting.

Deco Glam Quilt Kits
We have 5 new quilt kits that are GORGEOUS.โ
If you want to make the new Deco Glam quilt by Gingerly Quilt Co, here you go!โ
This is the Pink Orange version, but don't miss the other 4: Rainbow, Blue Green, Red Pink, and Pink Orange on a black background.
This Pink Orange colorway is perfect if you're "In my Summer Era" ๐ฉท๐๐โ

Paper Star Quilt Pattern
Many of you know that we carry the entire line of patterns by Audrey of Cotton and Bourbon. Here's her newest: Paper Star.
The pattern cover shows a 2-color black and white quilt, which is striking, but this version is a 6-color beauty that you absolutely need to know about, too.
To make the multi-color version in the large 80" square size, choose a palette of 6 colors: a background color (7.25 yds) plus 5 gradient colors (0.50 yds each). This one is Kona Cotton in Celestial, Pool, Candy Green, Breakers, Aloha, and Ice Frappe. But it would look fantastic in a gradient of your favorite colors!
What's great about this pattern: the design is stunning, full-size templates are included (so no taping paper together), and you get Audrey's meticulous instructions for the curved and Y-seams.

108" 3-yard Fabric Packs
These 3-yard packs of 108" wide 100% cotton fabric are so handy for finishing up a quilt - it's basically a ginormous 108" square. This grab-and-go option is great for quilt backs up to a queen size quilt. They're also great for photography backdrops, curtains, and even skirts!โ
Also, did you know... these Moda Grunge wide backs have a much higher thread count than regular quilting cotton? Their 200 threads per inch makes a tighter weave and silkier finish than Moda's regular 120 TPI. ๐งตโ

Every month (or so) Angela writes a letter about her thoughts, behind-the-scenes stuff at Sewfinity, and things worth knowing in the world of sewing. It's like getting a nice letter in the mail. Not too spammy. And not too often.
